About

Mica Mornaghi is an interdisciplinary artist; jeweller, textile designer, gemmologist and a maker, born in Buenos Aires, living in Mexico City.

Over the years, she has dedicated her studies to the behavior of stones, exploring both the intrinsic knowledge and the energy they hold, as well as the way humans converge with them. In this process, she has developed various means, including jewellery, as a tool to establish significant connections with these natural elements.

Her firm belief in the existence of a substantial connection between our everyday life and power amulets, gives rise to creating pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but can also be used for the benefit of our complex society. Her main focus has been research and purpose-oriented design towards healing, seeking to provide elements that promote well- being and harmony in daily life.
In the creation of her works, there is an exploration of being, the body, and the relationship with objects, amulets, and rituals.
